we already revived about the Electromagnetic waves.now we are going to have a glance on one of the type of electromagnetic waves(radiation) called LIGHT.
Generally we considered light as the energy which is responsible for the sence of sight.
we can see any thing(objects) because of the reflected light from the object which is captured by the retina of the eye.hence light is responsible for the sense of sight.

In general the wave length of the visible light varies from 400-700 nano-meters.which travels with a speed of 3*10 power 8 meters per second. behind the wavelength i.e.,less than 3 nano-meters it is called ultraviolet radiation(light),and after 700 nano-meters it is called as infrared radiation(light) which are not visible to naked eye.
hence the only light visible to naked eye is from 400-700 nano-meters.

even there is separation in the visible light (white light) which is the combination of seven colors (VIBGYOR) which is called visible spectrum.which can be seen through some special techniques like refraction's and even more.
The term light sometimes refers to electromagnetic radiation of any wavelength, whether visible or not. In this sense, gamma rays,X rays, micro waves and radio waves are also light.

visible light is emitted and absorbed in tiny "packets" called photon and exhibits properties of both waves and particles This property is referred to as the wave-particle duality.

this study of light further given way for some other very precious subjects like optics, ray optics etc.

There are many useful applications and projects which are going based on the inductors, with which we are going in and around freely.some of the uses are in the preperation of motors, sensors, filters, transformersenergy storages etc which are extensively works based on the inductive properties.you can have a brief explanition of two applications of inductor and its basic principles through this video url

coming to the point of types of inductors there are six different types of inductors:they are
1.Air core inductors
2.Ferro magnetic core inductors
3.laminated core inductors
4.ferrite core inductors
5.toroidal core inductors and
6.variable inductors.
Each differs in the point of power transmission and losses and their cores of constructions.
Air core inductors does not contains the magnetic core inside.its core contains plastic, ceramic, and other nonmagnetic materials.there are some limitations in this type example:radio frequency inductor contains different effects like skin, proximity, dielectric losses, parasitic capacitance effects which may lead to decrease the powergain etc.to overcome those effects we can apply the change in the coil rotations like basket-weave coils, spider web coils and litz wire etc can be used to their respective usages.
Ferromagnetic core inductors contains the magnetic core inside such as iron whic increases their inductance.however the magnetic properties of the core materials causes several side effects which alter the behavior of the inductor and require special construction as in the case of air core inductors such as core loss, eddy currents, hysteresis etc.
Laminated core inductors  Low-frequency inductors are often made with laminated cors to prevent eddy currents, using construction similar to transformers The core is made of stacks of thin steel sheets or laminations oriented parallel to the field, with an insulating coating on the surface.
Ferrite core inductors Higher frequencies, inductors are made with cores of ferrite. Ferrite is a ceramic ferri magnetic material that is nonconductive, so eddy currents cannot flow within it. The formulation of ferrite is xxFe2O4 where xx represents various metals. For inductor cores soft ferrites are used, which have low coercivity and thus low hysteresis loss.
Toroidal core inductors to decrease the power or frequency loss on the open two ends of the core this type of cored inductors are designed in which the cores is in closed loop or toroidal shape.Toroidal core coils are manufactured of various materials, primarily ferrite, powdered iron and laminate cores.
and finally variable inductors this is used are by sliding or screwing the core of ferrimagnetic materials differ in their concentrations variable inductances can be obtained.

In this post we are going to have a glance on the special apparatus called inductor.
An Inductor, also called a coil or reactor, is a passive two-terminal electrical component which resists changes in electric current passing through it. It consists of a conductor such as a wire, usually wound into a coil. Energy is stored in a magnetic field in the coil as long as current flows.
According to Lenz's law the direction of induced electromotive for (or "e.m.f.") is always such that it opposes the change in current that created it. As a result, inductors always oppose a change in current, in the same way that a flywheel opposes a change in rotational velocity.
Care should be taken not to confuse this with the resistance provided by a resistor.

It is defined as the ratio of the voltage to the rate of change of current.Inductors have values that typically range from 1 µH (10−6H) to 1 H.
In further posts we are going to know the different typesand applications of an inductor.

In this blog we are going to know about capacitors which are used to store the energy(or)
Capacitor is an electronic component that stores electric charge. The capacitor is made of 2 close conductors (usually plates) that are separated by a dielectric material. The plates accumulate electric charge when connected to power source.
the electrical storage capacity varies with respect to the insulating material present in between the two conducting bars or planes.
